Criminalists have initiated criminal proceedings against the detainee for the crime of murder, but they do not rule out extending the legal qualification to other acts, the director of the Prague police, Tomáš Lerch, told reporters. According to him, the motive for the crime is the suspicion that it could have caused another criminal activity.
On Tuesday night, police find out they found a man’s car. The car is inspected by pyrotechnicians, Neklanova street in Vyšehrad was closed.
Police have been searching for the man in connection with the shooting at the labor office in Bělehradská Street since Tuesday morning. After being announced, a rapid deployment unit arrived to search the office building. “There were really a lot of specialists here, I would say thirty to fifty,” a witness to the intervention told Aktuálně.cz.
After closing the street in the morning, according to him, they spent about two hours on the site to search the building and its surroundings, but did not find the perpetrators there.
The rescuers took the shot woman, who was an employee of the contact workplace, to the hospital, but she died there in the afternoon. Psychologists helped the staff on the spot.
Police officers have been looking for a man since Friday who burned his former colleague with acid in front of the Aero Vodochody building that afternoon in Odolena Voda near Prague. “There is a reasonable suspicion that the crime, which was committed in the Central Bohemian Region, is related to the suspect’s actions even in the case of the booby-fired shooting system and the case of today’s incident,” said the head of the Prague police.
A man of the same names that the police were looking for due to the shooting, previously on the Internet saidthat the labor office owes him money. “The clerk at the Labor Office is provoking and I am trying to provoke a conflict, where I will be caught up in incorrect conduct and accused of injury to health,” he wrote at the end of May.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will take measures to increase the safety of employees, the ministry told journalists Jana Maláčová (ČSSD). The head of the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions, Josef Středula, said about the need to secure state workers and the public sphere to help trade unions negotiate with the Ministry of the Interior.
Attacks by dissatisfied people on officials are not exceptional. In recent years, one of the job seekers attacked the employees of the Kutná Hora Labor Office. He caused her injuries, which require ten days of incapacity for work. The police also dealt with a case where one of the clients at the town hall in Neratovice threatened the officials with a syringe and claimed that he would infect her with jaundice. An employee of the social security administration in Rakovník or an employee of the vehicle register in the building of the Říčany town hall also faced the attack.
