The Mayor of Prague 1 Hejma shone with happiness at the opening of the Primark: Praguers, you don’t have to do Dresden anymore
The Czechs have been waiting for this for a long time, now they finally have the Primark store at their fingertips! The mayor of Prague 1, Petr Hejma (ODS), also took part in the magnificent opening, which took place on Thursday morning. Although he did not leave the shop with full bags like the other visitors, he still gave smiles to all sides. He told the inhabitants of the capital that he finally did not have to go cheap shopping in Dresden, Germany.
In recent years, many Czechs have fallen in love with shopping in Primark, the center of cheap fashion. They went to a popular store in Dresden, Germany, which is not far from the Czech border.
But these paths are probably definitely a thing of the past. On Thursday morning, the first branch of Primark opened in Prague.
Lovers of bargain shopping were so pleased that they created a queue over half of Wenceslas Square before the official opening of the store.
The mayor of Prague 1, Petr Hejma, also took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He didn’t buy anything nice in the boutique, but he was still obviously excited about opening a well-known store.
He greeted the visitors with a smile from ear to ear and then explained to the people of Prague what he was so happy about.
“You don’t have to go to Dresden to buy clothes at great prices anymore,” wrote Hejma on Facebook, who was pleasantly surprised that many people arrived despite the great heat.
“The queue reaches as far as the statue of St. Wenceslas. We therefore made it easier for them to wait with our volunteer firefighters, who humidify the air with water on the spot. Enjoy your shopping, ” The mayor of Prague praised on Thursday afternoon.
They obeyed him and took Primark directly by attack. Find out more in the detailed report.
