ČSAD Prague is building offices on the plot that Penta wanted for Zaha Hadid
Opposite the Museum of the Capital City of Prague near the metro station and bus station Florenc, a new office center began to be built. The developer is ČSAD Praha Holding. The total investment will be 400 million crowns.
“Our goal was to use an alternative to the large administrative centers we have in the neighborhood in the given locality. We want to show that we can not only operate the busiest bus station in the heart of Prague at the European level, but we are a real partner in the territory that takes care of its entire development, “said Pavel Vráblík, Member of the Board and CEO of ČSAD Praha Holding.
The Penta investment group originally brushed its teeth on the land. It is immediately adjacent to its large construction project around Masaryk railway station. A group of billionaires Marek Dospiva and his associates even virtually placed part of the new buildings on a foreign plot in 2016 during the presentation of visualizations of the project. The design comes from the workshop of the architectural studio Zahy Hadid.
At the time, it aroused resentment in ČSAD. The owners confirmed that they would not sell the land that Penta was seeking and would prepare their own project. Since then, however, relations between Penta and ČSAD have settled.
“We discussed the land with the owners for a long time, but in the final he decided on his own project. In the near future we will return to life brownfield next to the bus station. As good neighbors, we and the city have currently announced an international urban design competition for the concept of development. It will be clear by the end of this year, “said Penta’s spokesman Ivo Mravinac about the current relations with developers.
The six-storey building called Bastion Florenc will have 4,300 square meters of offices. Completion of the requirements of ČSAD Praha Holding in the spring of 2022.
