Prague 5 has land for a sports complex. Just the original idea, it sounds from City Hall
Based on urban studies on the entrustment of undeveloped land between Štěpařská, Högerova and K Barrandova streets, Prague 5 requested already in 2017 and proposes to place a multifunctional sports hall including underground garages and a street parking area and a multifunctional building with civic amenities, accommodation for athletes and start-up apartments. .
The study addresses an area of approximately 3.2 hectares. The recommendation could create a new neighborhood, including a square, commercial space or a school. “I believe that this is an intention that citizens with a sporting spirit will appreciate, for example, the city is facing a shortage of leisure facilities,” said Jan Chabr (United Forces for Prague / TOP 09), the city councilor for property management, about the planned sports ground.
Chabr added that the capital kept part of the package for development, so that, for example, rental apartments could be built. The neighboring lands are owned by the development company Landia Management.
And currently the decision of the town councils was praised by the management of Prague 5 through Jan Kavalírek (TOP 09), the spokesman of the town hall Stanislav Brunclík pointed out that there is no specific project yet. “It simply came to our notice then. The intention of the winter stadium was the original idea, but nothing has been decided, “Brunclík wrote to the ČTK agency.
