We also have a big show with drones. One hundred of them lit up the sky over Prague – Živě.cz
Various light shows realized with the help of drones appear all over the world and the Czechia is not a statement. The last time such an event was organized by Česká spořitelna, which used a hundred drones to create a light show over the capital with Prague Castle in the background.
The event took place on April 6 at half past eight in the evening and specially adapted drones started from Children’s Island. Eventually, they created symbols such as our national flag, a linden leaf and a two-tailed lion as part of the show.
This is still an unusual spectacle in the Czech Republic, but records are already falling abroad with more than three thousand involved drones:
At the same time, individual shows are not a cheap affair. For example, Intel charges about 2.2 million crowns for an event with 200 drones. For comparison, for example, such a Prague New Year’s fireworks stood in 2018 1.7 million crowns without VAT. A light show with drones can thus be a cheaper option, which is also more environmentally friendly.
They often oppose classic fireworks due to loud noise, strong flashes and unpleasant smoke. Drones do not suffer from such ailments – the main negative is mainly the buzz, which can be noticeable with a larger number of machines, but still smaller compared to fireworks.
