The eyes of Praguers and passers-by stared at the sky above the Vltava from half past eight in the evening. Hundreds of special drones brought from abroad first took off from Children’s Island, then formed above the city into glowing symbols of national pride. It was the national flag, linden leaf, two-tailed lion and the outline of the border of our republic in the colors of the tricolor. In the end, one strong word appeared – # stronger.

What type of drones do they use? (These are not classic drones that you can buy somewhere)

These are special drones designed exclusively for drone shows.

There were 100 active drones at the event.

How many people drive? All drones are controlled at once?

The system is controlled by the pilot and co-pilot together with observers and technical staff. In total, 4 to 10 people normally take care of the flight. The number of people is determined by the size of the fleet and the difficulty of the flight.

How long it takes for a similar image to form?

Programming one image takes tens of hours. It does not only depend on the shape, but also on the environment and on what the shape is created from and what it turns into.

Yes, it performs test flights and countless tests of the entire system.

What permits and from whom do I need to get a similar event? What license does the dronist have?

Explain what a flight zone is and what spacing drones must have.

The flight zone is the area for the flight, including all protection zones. There must be no persons not involved in the operation of the flight in this zone. The flight zone is negotiated in order to be as safe as possible. Spacing is individual according to the number and type of drones.

The general rule is 1: 1, the drone in 100 meters and the circle around them must be an average of 200m

What can a drone player control?

The pilot of the drone show system is undergoing demanding training. It would take dozens of pages to describe all the steps and situations. But in a nutshell, it can do everything from commissioning a drone, through preparing flight zones, setting up and testing all systems and procedures for all phases of flight. Each pilot has hundreds of hours flown, it is a long-term process of gaining experience.
