LOT will suspend flights to Ostrava, the domestic route Prague – Ostrava will end

Polish airline LOT with the new summer flight schedule to suspend your scheduled flights from Warsaw to Ostrava. Ostrava Airport informed about the interruption of LOT flights today.
“The current global pandemic situation and the restrictions imposed by individual countries make travel almost impossible. Therefore, after mutual agreement with Ostrava Airport and LOT Polish Airlines, we decided to temporarily suspend the flight to Warsaw. We will negotiate the date together in June this year, “ said Radek Podstawka, Deputy Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region for Transport.

Simultaneously with the interruption of LOT flights to Ostrava, there will be termination of operation on the currently only domestic line between Prague and Ostrava. It was opened last November, when the Polish carrier combined its lines to Prague and Ostrava in one connection.
With the new summer flight schedule, LOT will fly from Warsaw to Prague again without a stopover. So far, the company plans to fly four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with an airplane from March 29. Havilland Canada DHC-8-400 for 78 passengers.
