Stewardesses return to Czech bus transport. FajnBus will start between Pilsen and Prague
The carrier wants to return to buses a higher quality of travel.
A new player is entering the long-distance bus transport market in the Czech Republic. The FajnBus company will start operating the line between Pilsen and Prague from 5 February, and in March it wants to extend it to Uherské Hradiště. The carrier has already started selling tickets.
“We are seeing the level of bus transport services declining and we would like to stop this trend and take travel to a higher level, “Said the company’s director Veronika Brotanová. For example, the carrier wants to ride with a flight attendant on board and offer and sell snacks for free. “The possibility of buying refreshments on the way from the buses practically disappeared,“Brotan added. Other carriers no longer count on flight attendants on buses.
Fajnbus yet starts with one connection daily in the evening from Pilsen to Prague and back. According to Brotanová, they want to react to the situation when the evening connections on this route disappeared after reductions. “The whole of Pilsen thus lost the possibility of an evening bus connection with Prague, people can only use trains, which complicates the transport of bulky luggage and requires a trip to the main railway station, “ Brotan added.
By bus and shipments
Buses will stop in Pilsen at the central bus station and at the Alfa Theater, in Prague they will go to Zličín. In the past, bus operators reduced connections between Prague and Pilsen due to the modernization of the railway line, which brought some acceleration compared to the past. However, in the case of trips to the western outskirts of Prague, the bus remains faster and more comfortable.
From March, the weekend line will be extended via Brno, Kroměříž and Otrokovice to Uherské Hradiště. So far, however, the carrier cannot repair it – it would arrive in Uherské Hradiště just before the curfew.
The basic price of a ticket from Pilsen to Prague will be 100 crowns, the reservation system uses Bileta. In addition to free luggage transport, the carrier also offers shipments.
Fajnbus will start driving the Scania Irizar bus, which he bought from RegioJet and changed it to the company’s gray color with the green FajnBus logo. It was RegioJet who canceled the flight attendants completely last autumn. The bus offers an individual entertainment system with a screen in each seat. In addition, the company wants to spread entertainment to mobile phones or tablets.
