Jaroslava Janderová, a Prague representative, died. She was 70 years old
This was confirmed by several municipal councilors, and Jan Klusáček, chairman of the local ODS association in Jesenice near Prague, posted the information on Twitter. The Prague ODS refused to comment on the death in any way.
According to CTK, Jander had severe bilateral pneumonia caused by covid-19. Due to her hospitalization, she did not attend Thursday’s deputies’ meeting, among other things. In addition to the municipality, she also worked at the City Hall of Prague 1.
The Prague Civic Democrats did not want to say anything. “With regard to the family, we will not comment in any way,” said the chairman of the Prague ODS, Tomáš Portlík. The comment was also rejected by the chairwoman of the Prague ODS representatives and the deputy mayor of Prague 2, Alexandra Udženija.
Janderová graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University, where she passed a rigorous exam and completed postgraduate studies. Since 1994, she has also worked as a lawyer specializing in copyright, commercial and civil law. She ran a jazz and blues club.
She was also involved in the civic association Publicum commodum and organized events commemorating the crimes of communism. Jander also actively contributed to blog iDnes.cz.
The first deputy from the ODS candidate from the 2018 elections, who did not get into the council, will now become the new representative of the capital. According to the election results, the team is Jiří Kubíček. He may refuse the mandate. In that case, another deputy would take over.
