Historically, this town was always known as a debtor and was an independent municipality until 1922. The name was derived from the well-known one-eyed leader Jan ik and soon gained a nickname as a rough town.

This uprising subsequently became a source of pride for the locals, who called it the Free Republic of Greece. When today ask any stubborn inhabitant of this city, where he comes from, he will proudly say that he will come. That’s why he’s proud of it.

We will start our walk at the town of Jiho z Podbrad, which is located on the border of the vasts of Vinohrady and ikov. At nmst you will find many cafes and monuments.
