Of the total number of those infected in Prague since the beginning of the epidemic, more than half have recovered. There are currently about 9,000 patients. The number of infected deaths increased by two to a total of 178 on Tuesday.
Prague is one of the regions with the most significant minimum number of infected in the Czech Republic. In the last seven days, there have been about 265 new cases of covid-19 in the city per 100,000 inhabitants. In only four regions was the usual one week higher. The disease is now the most widespread in the Uherské Hradiště region, where over 392 cases of covid-19 have been confirmed in the past week.

Among those infected from Prague, the largest proportion are people aged 25 to 34, who make up about a quarter of only a few confirmed cases of covid-19. Older people, who are among the most endangered by covid-19, make up only a small part of those infected from Prague. So far, only about 7.6 percent of people in the city were 65-84 years old and only 1.7 percent of people over 84 were among the cases reported in the city.
From Wednesday, the Prague City Hall resumed the operation of medical so-called flying teams. They will assist with measures against the spread of coronavirus infection in residential facilities and at the same time monitor the readiness of the facility. The crews of the teams will consist either of an inspector from the rescue services and a representative of the hygiene station, or as well as the leading doctor, nurse and medics.
