Prague evaluated the campaign for tourists as successful. We sell it until Christmas
“The capital supported the restart of tourism in the amount of 120 million crowns. I will be very happy if, thanks to the extension of the In Prague at Home campaign, these funds are used to the last crown to help entrepreneurs in the field of tourism and at the same time make their stay in the capital accessible to Prague visitors, “says Hana Třeštíková, Councilor for Culture and Tourism. (Prague itself).
The In Prague at Home program worked over the summer in such a way that visitors to the metropolis who stay at the hotel get a body for each night spent – they can then use it as free tickets to selected popular tourist destinations. According to the municipality, the biggest attractions were the zoo, Prague Castle and the Petrin Lookout Tower. More than 400 accommodation facilities participated in the program.
On the contrary, not all benefits have been exhausted, so the events can continue. There are also special Christmas offers. “Of course, we will not be able to compensate for the situation in which tourism was in 2019, ie before the coronavirus crisis. However, I must say that the feedback from visitors and some hotels, which have increased our obsolescence by several tens of percent, motivates us to extend the program, “added František Cipro, Chairman of the Board of Prague City Tourism.
