This morning, a prototype of the SOR NB12 bus in the newly approved visual form of the Prague Integrated Transport System took place on Mariánské náměstí. It was the first opportunity to see a bus with a new visual appearance. Passengers will be able to ride it from tomorrow on line 176.
A bus with a new design was introduced on Mariánské náměstí in Prague today after nine o’clock in the morning, into which all the cars of the Prague transport company will gradually change. “This is a test sample on which the graphic designers, together with the transport company, tested the details and different shades with which the bus should be painted,” said the deputy mayor for transport Adam Scheinherr (PRAGUE TO ITSELF) and added that a bus that would expect repainting in any case.
Prague integrated transport system In addition to Prague’s public transport, it also includes train and bus transport in a large part of the Central Bohemian Region, which is gradually expanding.
The graphic designers, together with ROPID and the Prague transport company, will work on a graphic manual, which should be ready by the end of the year. The pilot project should be followed by steps to complete a graphic manual for 76 vehicles. Cars with a new look will gradually begin to meet in the streets of Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.
Passengers with a new design car will be able to ride from Thursday. “The bus will be put into operation for the first time since the morning departure on line 176,” said the CEO of a Prague transport company Petr Witowski. For the first time, passengers will meet the car with the new design on the route from Charles Square to the Strahov Stadium.
