When it’s hot and you don’t want to go directly to the pool, try parks with water features, such as Malešický Park, Gutovka, Roztylské náměstí or the Children’s Playground at the Czech Shipyards at Libeňský zámeček. Children can also refresh themselves in Žluté lázně, where they have a fenced area directly for children with a system of swimming pools and paddling pools.
Young children can also refresh themselves in the newly opened Mole World in Horní Měcholupy, where they have a non-traditional paddling pool. A small stream with a sandy bottom and a mist will entertain the little ones for a very long time. The big ones will enjoy the local trampoline or “small rope park”. The benefit of the area is that it is located in the woods, so you are protected from the sun. You can go for pets to Toulcova dvor, Zookoutek in Chuchelský háj or in Kunratice, where there is also a children’s playground nearby. You can visit the Hostivař Wild Garden for white fallow deer and mouflons.
If you still avoid people completely, you can liven up your day with the children by the bouncy castle in your garden. Rentals at nafouknito.cz starts at 450 crowns a day.
