These are mostly new roads in places where family and apartment houses are being built. In Barrandov, close to the film studios, well-known First Republic actresses, including Lída Baarová, Adina Mandlová and Nataša Gollová, will have their themes “thematically”.
The new square in this locality will again bear the name of the writer and actress Olga Scheinpflug, who was the wife of the writer Karel Čapka until his death in 1938.
According to theater, film and television actor Svatopluk Beneš, part of Voskovcova Street in Barrandov becomes Benešova. The reason for the change is “improving the logical orientation in the given locality with regard to large-scale construction”.
The new street in Kbely was named after the war pilot Stanislav Plzák, who fell in the Battle of Britain in 1941.
