Uneaten Christmas cookies can be donated to the needy in Prague and Brno – ČT24 – Czech Television
In both places, in Prague and Brno, people could deliver their sweets on Thursday, when, according to the organizers, about ten kilos were collected. “People wore Linz sweets, gingerbread cookies, but also chocolates or, for example, a jar full of nuts,” said Nesnězeno co-founder Michaela Gregorová.
The company has no specific requirements for donors. “But it’s nice, for example, when the candy is nicely wrapped, people can attach a picture, a greeting or a wish,” Gregorová added.
Selected sweets will be used, for example, for children’s homes, homes for the elderly or homes for the disabled and for the shelter. “We will decide how many sweets to choose,” said Nesněženo co-founder Jakub Henni.
The candy collection is taking place for the first time this year and should last until 4 pm on Friday. “If there are more people interested, we will extend the collection,” Jakub Henni promised.

The target group is mainly young people and students, but also representatives of the middle or older generation or mothers with children buy food through the application. “We have an application for the sale of the remaining portions of food at a discount. Anyone can download it, it is best to buy food and pick it up on the spot, “described the co-founder of the project. The application already has more than sixty-six thousand downloads.
