The investor wants to build the tallest Czech Top Tower building in Nové Butovice
The sculptor David Černý and the architect Tomáš Císař from the Black n ‘Arch studio are involved in the design.
The tallest building in the Czech Republic is currently the AZ Tower Brno, 111 meters high.
“We have been preparing the project for more than two years and the final form was preceded by eight other alternative solutions. During this time, we have collected and still collect suggestions from experts, the relevant state and local government bodies and, of course, the local public, “said Marcel Soural, Chairman of the Board of Trigema. The company did not state that it seems to have the appropriate permits for the construction.
The Top Tower is to connect to the new almost kilometer-long pedestrian zone, which leads from the Nové Butovice metro station through the central Sluneční náměstí to the Hůrka metro station.
The building has a public view point at the highest point, where the visitor is transported by elevator. It will be designed for rental housing, in the lower offices Trigema plans and a multifunctional cultural center connected to a publicly accessible roof garden.
On the ground floor and the second floor, there are to be mainly shops and service establishments. Underground parking spaces are planned for the public, which operate non-stop.
According to Soural, the planned project will stand outside the protection zone of the city’s monument reserve and outside the area with a ban on high-rise buildings. “At the same time, from the point of view of Prague, it is located in such a way that it will not be visible from the main places in the city center and the historical panorama of the city will not be disturbed,” he added.
The Top Tower project includes modifications to the public pedestrian zone between the two entrances and exits from the Nové Butovice metro station. According to Soural Parking, Trigema will also begin preparations for the construction of a new house at the intersection of Petržílkova and Bucharova streets with a capacity of 360 seats. It should stand 200 meters from the building and replace the existing capacity of 60 seats.
The tallest building AZ Tower in Brno was completed in March 2013. It is located in the Štýřice district between Pražákova and Heršpická streets. This location is nicknamed Brno’s Manhattan.
In addition to the AZ Tower, there is, for example, the 60-meter-high M-Palace or the 25-meter-high Spielberk Office Center. AZ Tower has 30 floors above ground and two underground floors.
Until the construction of the AZ Tower skyscraper, the tallest building in the Czech Republic since December 2007 was the Pankrác City Tower with a height of 109 meters, a building originally intended as the seat of Czechoslovak Radio.
The tallest apartment building in the Czech Republic is the 104-meter-high V Tower building, which is also on the Pankrác Plain in Prague.
