The Communists in Prague did not build ostentatious buildings, but used historic houses
According to the former Ministry of Railways, which was established at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s, the Communists grew up from the main house of Na Pkop and Celetn streets, which is used by Komern banka.
Eight President of Czechoslovakia Gustv Husk also had his apartment in the KS buildings. An underground shelter can still be seen in the town, where people on the open day can see some pieces from the communist era, including the original Husek table.
The fate of the Ministry of Railways is by no means unique. The communists in Prague used the houses they had previously taken from someone, and after the revolution they could return to business as well as the architect Radomra Sedlkov.
This time, the city had its own party committee. If the party built a house for its own needs, the invention did not give in. If they were built new, then there used to be such administrative buildings, on which there was some symbol at that time, only then disappeared, added Sedlkov.
Most of the new buildings, for example the multifunctional center Vlasta in Prague 10, are now used by the city. The regime built the new houses of the Communist Party at the age of seven. Interestingly, these buildings were never built on the main road, they were always around the corner. They did not want to provoke much after the communists, Sedlkov estimates.
Trade unions
The Czechoslovak federal parliament thus moved you to the Penn Stock Exchange building from the thirties, which now houses the New National Museum building.
The Revolution of the trade union movement, ie the trade unions, was one of the organizations for the organization’s regime at the time. At that time, it was essentially obligatory for some female employees, and the unions were probably one of the largest social organizations of the time.
Its headquarters were in the House of Trade Unions, but it was built in the thirties as the first old building in Prague to be the city’s former gas station. After the long-revolution, the Eskomoravian confederation of trade unions, which used only about 20 percent, and in 2018 it was bought by the Siko bathroom group. The private owner intended to build apartments, offices and retail space in them.
From the end, the World of Wolves in Prague was announced by the International Student Union. During the Cold Wolves, the organization split and the Czech capital was communicated only by its inaugural faction, the Communist women and the Russian KGB;
The union was located in a brutalist building built in 1974 on the corner of 17th November and Pask streets. Architects from BUT demanded that the house become a cultural monument. This was rejected by the Ministry of Culture this year, and the owner intended to turn it into a seven-storey business house.
The citizen of the political police told the State Security in Bartolomjsk Street, which tilted the tile and now serves the police. The STB also used remote buildings, such as the so-called Hradany Domeek in Kapucnsk Street, which they had been wearing. That’s when he fell for him. In the 1950s, a police officer brutally investigated a political party here. For example, he used to stand for troops after the Norwegian Army.
The soldiers were deliberately placed in the lack of heated cells, many of which developed frostbite during the cold night. They were hungry, the hygienic conditions were tight. I have been and, with some exceptions, refrained from any kind of medicine, and even long-term patients have not been provided with only basic supplies, describes historian Markta Brtov in his work on Colonel Ludvek Machek. At the address of the Ministry of the Interior now.
The STB called several buildings in silence, in the Bevnov clergy Santoriv convent under the shelter Montn state, where they watched foreigners. Today there is a hotel in nm.
Education politician
The party also took care of the development of the population in terms of history, and the Klement Gottwald Museum was founded in 1953 with the neo-renaissance bank Mstsk spoitelny prask, founded in 1875. Now there is an esk spoitelna in nm.
The Pioneer Museum of the Vladimir Ilya Lenin Museum designed it in the premises of the People’s House in Hybernsk Street in Prague. This early Baroque inch has been owned by a Social Democrat since the arrest of the last century, and after the revolution they flocked to it, with the American Cultural and Business Center at its entrance.
