Prague is preparing for a giant demonstration: It has a plan to sprinkle the Letna Plain and build a drinking fountain
“If it is hot, we expect to deploy sprinkler trucks that would sprinkle the area of the demonstration before the demonstration, they would fog up,” said Petr Hlubuček (STAN), Deputy Mayor for Safety and the Environment. Prague would simply order it from its technical services.
Jana Poštová, a spokeswoman for the Prague rescuers, adds that they will have their people directly at Letná. “We plan to have a crew on site so that we can provide first aid as soon as possible,” she said, adding that in the heat and in the crowd, it is necessary to drink enough, bring a head covering or sunscreen.
A police-led coordination meeting will be held by all forces on Thursday. The transport company will also decide whether it is appropriate to take trams in Milady Horáková Street. It is already clear that the metro will run more often.
The organizers want to have drinks known from festivals on the desktop so that people do not collapse on the plan. In the same way, a security alley will be created under the five large-scale paintings, where rescuers will be able to walk. At the moment, I expect more than two hundred thousand people to arrive. On Facebook, people also organize joint bus pick-ups from the regions.
The demonstration against Prime Minister Andreja Babiš (YES) and the Ministry of Justice Maria Benešová (YES) will be the eighth from the spring. People first met the Old Town Square in Prague three times, then protested in hundreds of towns and villages. Andrej Babiš said that the ministers did not change in the squares. He declined the invitation to discuss.
