In addition to trains to Karlín, Prague 8 is also considering the renewal of the U Kříže stops in Liben at Kandertova and Zenklova streets. According to the councilor for the transport of the city district, Tomáš Slabihoudek (United Forces for Prague), there are complications regarding the construction of the Karlín bus stops due to high costs of around 900 million crowns.

“At the moment, it seems more realistic to build the U Kříže stop, which has investment costs of up to 100 million crowns. At the moment, Prague 8 does not have the financial resources to continue the demanding project preparation, “said Slabihoudek, adding that he is cooperating with the municipality on the preparation.
The aim is to reduce the number of cars passing through Libní and Karlín
The railway station was established on the original double-track non-electrified line in 1899. Trains to Kolín and Česká Třebová were built here until 1957. The platform came from Pernerovy prolukka Street between houses near the Žižkov tunnel.
