Prague 1 without “socek”. When the spokeswoman left, she wiped the town hall from the nets
As a general rule, a person leaving an apartment, office or car should turn off the lights. Former Prague 1 spokeswoman Veronika Blažková also turned off the town hall’s communication channels on social networks before she left. She allegedly refused to pass on access data to the profiles of the city district on social networks and, on the contrary, deleted them.
Her approach is criticized by the Prague Pirates, who often had disputes with the former leadership of Prague 1. As well as with Blažková, who spoke behind the town hall and who is a long-term partner of today’s former mayor Oldřich Lomecký (TOP 09). The secretary of the city district, František Dvořák, who is the superior of all town hall officials, including the spokesman, also claims that he does not know that Prague 1 has official profiles on social networks.
“As far as I know, no official Facebook page of the Prague 1 district has ever been set up. At least I don’t know about that. The resolution of the council or the resolution of the council was never adopted in this spirit, “Dvořák said in an e-mail explaining the current situation to one of the inhabitants of Prague 1. He subsequently published their conversation on the social network.
The website of the town hall and the magazines published by the office still refer to the official Facebook and Instagram profile of the city district, which are now deleted. The whole matter has now been put into charge by the new Prague 1 councilor for informatics, Petr Kučera (Green for the First One / Greens).
Everyone puts their hands away, says the councilor
“It’s unfortunate that it all came about in such a way, it wasn’t selling in any way, and now everyone prefers to get their hands off it. We communicated with Blažková, but since she no longer works at the town hall, we don’t have much leverage on her, so it hasn’t turned out yet, “Kučera describes.
“It simply came to our notice then. We have limited energy and we don’t want to slap her on such crap, “adds Kučera. The new management of the town hall will thus probably establish new profiles on social networks, through which it will communicate with the public.
The editors of iDNES.cz also tried to obtain the opinion of Blažková, but she did not answer the phone and did not respond to the questions sent.
The deletion of the town hall’s pages on social networks is a kind of end to the tense relations that the former town hall management had with each other, which it has now replaced at the head of the office. At the turn of the year, it led disputes with the opposition, which feared a possible privatization of Na Františku Hospital, which is owned by the city district. In March, Mayor Lomecký filed a criminal complaint, in which he stated, among other things, that gays, including pirate David Bodeček, had conspired against him due to the canceled privatization of the apartment.
Lastly, pirate officials criticized the town hall leadership after the election for trying to conclude unfavorable contracts and take further steps unsuitable for the city district. Among them was a proposal to abolish Blaková’s place and receive a large severance pay. In the end, this did not happen and the spokeswoman resigned herself.
The Prague 1 Sobě group, led by Pavel Čižinský, won the elections in the first part of the city. Prague 1 formed a coalition with the group We, What We Live Here (STAN and KDU-ČSL), Pirates and the Green Representative. TOP 09, ODS and YES went to the opposition.
