Prague has launched a mobile application for tourism, it has a tourist card to follow it up
The new, free mobile application developed by the ICT Operator for the capital, in addition to practical information about transport, hospitals and money exchange in Prague, also offers a geolocation game in which tourists can participate.
When they sell the offered routes that lead them to tourist attractions (the application calls them Adventures), they gain points, which then unlock other routes. The tourist can also earn points for the pain or share it with friends. In the application, users can also collect various “badges”.
For the game to work, the tourist must create an account (or log in via their Facebook profile) and must also allow access to location information. He uses GPS to check the application, he actually arrived at the place where he sent it.
In pilot operation, the application is available for Android AND iOS as the user communicates so far only in English.
From next September, the application is to become part of the Prague Visitor Pass according to Prague’s plans. “The card will record public transport tickets, provide discounts on admission to attractive cultural sites and monuments, and later also offer tours of the interiors of historic buildings. Tourists will be able to order the card online in advance of Prague’s arrival, and they will also be able to purchase it on planes or at information stands and vending machines at airports and railway stations, ”describes the ICT Operator.
