The growth of October retail sales slowed down. E-shops are growing the most
This October had two working days more than, adjusted for calendar effects, they increased by 3.9 percent last year, statistics said. Month-on-month, retail sales after seasonal adjustment fell 1.6 percent in October, additions for food and non-food goods fell 1.3 percent and for fuels 0.6 percent.
Compared to last year, on the other hand, support for fuels increased by 8.9 percent, for non-food goods by 8.5 percent and for food by 2.1 percent.
Internet and mail order sales increased by 20.4 percent. Sales in specialized stores with computer and communication equipment were higher by 11.5 percent, with products for culture, sports and recreation by 8.3 percent, with household products by 8.2 percent as pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetic goods by 5, 7 percent.
Sales of clothing and footwear remained at approximately the same level. In specialized food stores they increased by 6.5 percent and in non-specialized stores with food predominance by 1.8 percent.
Unadjusted motor vehicles were used for sales of unadjusted vehicles in October, and repairs by 8.5 percent, seasonally adjusted month-on-month, fell by 0.3 percent.
