Prague – In Prague 12, a map of the feelings of the inhabitants of various parts of the city district was created. Several hundred voted where they feel safer, where they relax or meet friends. City Hall handed over the security results to the city police, who will continue to work. Mayor Milan Maruštík (YES) introduced the project to journalists on Wednesday.

“The biggest question that came out of the emotion map is safety. We have determined localities with the city police and they are working on a solution for them, “said the mayor. He wants to know the next steps around mid-February.
The first map was paper
People are most often bothered by the presence of homeless people, people who use addictive substances and the associated clutter, they do not like and interfere with development projects, there are no parking spaces and car barriers. On the contrary, people feel best on the bike path and go to Modřanská ravine to relax.
The first map was made of paper and participants in the Sustainable Development Forum stuck colored pins into it. They used them to describe places where they feel safe, where they relax, where they lack or interfere with something, or where something interesting or where they meet the most famous. Then the map was digitized and other residents voted over the Internet.
Prague 12 is one of the first in the city districts
In the spring, according to Maruštík, the town hall also wants to involve students in filling in the emotional map. According to Deputy Mayor for IT Robert Králíček (YES), another option is to integrate the map into the mobile application of Prague 12, which the city district has launched today.
Among the city districts, Prague 12 is one of the first to create an emotional map from a population survey. They already have similar ones in Brno, Říčany, Vodňany and Moravská Třebová, for example.
