One hundred crowns decided the success in the tender for the airport taxi
The competition for a taxi service operator at Prague Airport has reached an interesting finale. The winner was Taxi Prague of entrepreneurs David France and Patrik Altman, when they offered four million one hundred crowns a month for lucrative stepladders in front of the terminal. FIX, which served the airport in previous years, finished second.
In the electronic auction offered exactly one crown lower than the winner. Both companies thus secured seats at Václav Havel Prague Airport for the next five years. The remaining four competitions left the auction with no purchase.
The success or failure was determined by a miniature difference in the tender. The third company in order is Sedop Taxi Prague, which offered only a hundred crowns lower price than the second. Radim Jančura’s Tick Tack finished fourth, willing to pay 3.5 million.
According to airport spokeswoman Marika Janoušková, the electronic auction was set up so that each participant should always respond to the competition’s offer. According to the spokesperson, the new prices are significantly higher than the rents from the current operators.
In addition to the FIX taxi service, AAA Radiotaxi also runs as the airport’s official taxi today.
The contract ends in December, the new operators will start driving from January, they will have a contract in their pocket by the end of 2021. Among other things, the airport requires a maximum of three-year-old cars or drivers’ language skills.
