How to pay for a new car park in Prague? Mobile is a necessity
In Prague, a paid parking lot has existed for a very long time. In Prague 1, 2, 3 and 7, they are divided into blue residents, where only residents of the area can park (visitors only a short time for a special coupon) and green and orange signs for visitors. Later, there was a change of knowledge, such as blue / orange, where the employee’s salary is usually only a day.
Everything is different in the new ones
The new ones in Prague 5, 6 and later in the autumn and in Prague 8 are divided differently. Blue is still primarily for residents, but even here, visitors can park for a maximum of only three hours. Oranov knows them only for visitors and again only for a maximum of three hours. Tet knows purple. It is shifted and can be parked by both residents (unlimited) and visitors with a limited time of 24 hours.
In the future, the sweat of this concept will be felt in the rest of Prague, and in Prague 1, 2, 3 and later in Prague 7, the new ones will gradually become new.

In the old town, visitors could only pay with the help of parking meters. The new day system does not generate tolls, even in cases where there are parking meters in them.
Parking machines are just somewhere
Automatic Parking – IQ testThe parking meter has a color display and a large keyboard below it. The display does not touch what will take me a day in the summer. But wake up. The problem is that the system is quite slow and less intuitive. Of the several parkers we tracked, no one was able to close the transaction on the first try. At times, it is not clear what the hunter should pay, the machine reports problems with the payment card, even if the customer wants to pay in cash, and so on. In addition, some customers did not know the number of their car from the head of the SS and had to look for it in the documents, or they returned to the car across the street. There are three parking meters in purple. |
There are many more parking meters in the new system. Bn are in orange marks, in purple their number is limited and in blues they are not at all. This is because the system does not require stickers behind the windshield. The machine has a license plate and a long wall and it’s in.
In addition to coins, vending machines also accept new cards. For parking in blue, you can’t do without a mobile phone with a web browser and a data connection (respectively, there are still two-hour and ten-hour cards available, which will be difficult to get).
The same procedure is followed when paying by mobile phone, where you enter the car’s license plate, wall time and pay with a credit card. Browsing the web via mobile, the mobile application is not ready for this. In practice, you can pay with all smartphones and ordinary mobile phones, which support data transfer and have Internet browsing.
The advantage of the system without tickets is the possibility to buy a wall for a long time, when you stay somewhere, and definitely the fact that you do not have to drive a small car. It can probably be expected that the controls will be simple for the operator (they will manage it directly while driving from the car) and that it will be much easier to check the operation according to the type of knowledge.
Dog mobile it works lpe
Paying by mobile phone is relatively easy. You can find a virtual parking meter at www.parkujvklidu.cz (which is the page of the whole new Prague parking system), where there is a link to the virtual parking meter, or directly on the page www.mpla.cz/praha.
Payment by mobile phone – fast and convenientIn the mobile system, the system will offer no parking hours. For them, the minimum time in our test was full hours, in the mobile it was possible to pay for parking in five minutes, which in many cases would cost me a lot of money. In addition, after the first back all, keep the page in mind, so it is paid much faster than in a parking meter. |
In the system, Prague has decided not to use QR when, also for your parking lot you have to go to a sign or a parking meter and write on your mobile phone where you want to park. The second and definitely more convenient option is to use GPS. Here the system can find the closest ones to choose from. But it requires a tedious GPS and such an easy orientation in Prague. In all cases, you must have active mobile data.
Then choose a long wall price and enter the number plate. The account remembers and those characters, so you do not have to enter the character register again. The same applies to payment cards, the choice is classic (the system remembers two) and CCS. When inserting the card into the system, select the PIN and then always confirm the payment. You do not have to enter the card again. After inserting, the whole card is not displayed, but only the last body and PIN prevent its misuse.
After paying for the system, it will generate a thin line, which you can also set up to send to e-mail. There is then a click on the extended parking lot. Payment will only be made after the PIN has been entered.
Prices in blue are fixed: according to the city 40, 60 and 80 crowns per hour. The same prices are then maximum in other brands, but they can be and so are they. The problem is that they are not fixed as two, but can change dynamically according to conditions. During our test in Kovk Street, an hour cost 20 crowns.
