Search for the legends of old Prague
How many famous people lived here?
“You may be surprised at how many famous people lived here,” commented Kateřina Racková, the author of the walk.
The route begins in the passage Platýz, whose history dates back to the 14th century and is associated with a change, such as Prince Frederick of Burgundy, Jan Platais of Plattenstein, after whom the palace is named, and František Daubek.
The trail was left by acquaintances and strangers
The walk will continue to the church of St. Martin in the wall, which is the resting place of the family of Baroque sculptors of the Brokoff family. The walk will then go to places connected with, for example, the Baroque painter Václav Vavřinec Reiner, Mikoláš Alš, Max Brod, but also WA Mozart and others.
The list of personalities connected with the Old Town is definitely not exhausted in the mentioned places. In addition, Prague also attracted poor people from the countryside, who put their hopes for a living in it, whether they were young girls or companions. All of them have left indisputable traces in the city.
