Take a look: Airbus A380 in Prague again. And maybe once and regularly

Today, great fame took place at Prague Airport. Emirates celebrated five years on the Czech market and exceptionally deployed the world’s largest airliner, the Airbus A380, on the Dubai-Prague route. The plane for 517 passengers arrived fully occupied, as well as the return flight to the United Arab Emirates.

The nine people in the crew were Czechs. Before the ceremonial slicing of the cake, there was mostly praise. One of the few long-distance lines from Ruzyně is constantly growing. While five years ago the company started with 150,000 passengers a year, last year there were almost 250,000. An increase is expected this year as well. Therefore, there are considerations about using the A380 regularly. The line now provides a Boeing 777 for 360 people.

“The number of passengers is approaching the limit from which Emirates could deploy the A380. We can make this decision as soon as possible, “said the head of Czech Aeroholding, Václav Řehoř.

Aeroholding owns Prague Airport. Emirates Vice President for Europe and Russia Thierry Aucoc ranks the link among the most successful in the network of companies. According to the currently captured 90 percent.

“The connection is used not only by Czechs, but also by people from the Middle East, Australia and East Asia,” Aucoc told the E15 daily. According to him, however, no decision was made on the deployment of the largest Airbus on the Prague route. “But the line works well and this is one of the options,” Aucoc added. He appreciated that Prague Airport is newly adapted to the trouble-free handling of a giant aircraft.

With a fleet of 62, the Emirates is the largest operator of these machines. In addition, they receive a new one every month. Aucoc mentioned that each new deployment of the Airbus A380 will attract new passengers to the route in question.
