Finance and Prague cleared the management of the Congress Center
The General Meeting of the Prague Congress Center (KCP) replaced the members of the Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors. For example, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Deputy Mayor Václav Novotný (TOP 09) and the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board Albert Kubišta (TOP 09) were dismissed. The shareholders of KCP are Prague and the state through the Ministry of Finance, the state holds the majority of the shares.
Due to the General Meeting, the City Council met for an extraordinary meeting. Prague was represented at the meeting by Mayor Adriana Krnáčová (YES). “The need to replace the Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors of KCP was finally decided last week at a joint meeting of shareholders. The congress center lacks a clear strategy, in any way the KCP should go in the following, “we present Krnáčová.
Apart from Novotný and Kubišta, among the dismissed is also, for example, the former representative of TOP 09 Milan Urban. Among other things, Iva Kotvová (SZ) or Eliška Kaplicky Fuchsová (YES) of Prague were newly elected to the Board of Directors of the Municipal Lawyer Michal Jordán and to the Supervisory Board of the Prague 4 Councilor.

Novotný disagrees with Krnáčová’s statement. “KCP has had the concept ready for two years. If the mayor had not spent so much time traveling to Dubai or Brussels, she would have known about her and could at least have leafed through it, “said Novotný. According to Novotný, the current representative for ANO, Karel Grabein Procházka, also took part in creating the strategy.
Krnáčová wants to analyze
Mayor Krnáčová said in January that she wanted to have an analysis of what to do with KCP and whether to invest up to 800 million in it, which provided last year by the city for the reconstruction and elimination of internal debt.
Last year, KCP initially got rid of its roughly two billion debt. It will initially get into debt of up to four million in 2000 due to reconstruction before the meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The client of the repairs and the guarantor was the state, which then did not give the money to repay the debt. The company repaid half of the loan itself. The state finally paid another 1.85 billion crowns in recent months when it entered the property structure of KCP. The state owns 54.4 percent.
