The godfathers of the ODS started the game through the zoning plan of Prague
A slow but even more persistent effort to disband the ODS and TOP 09 coalition in Prague, led by Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda (ODS) forces. According to some representatives, its opponents change the zoning plan of the metropolis, which can be used to intervene in the multibillion-dollar plans of developers.
Some civic democrats dissatisfied with the current composition of the city council also use some opposition policies from the CSSD, KSCM and the Green Party. Currently, the largest undeveloped locality in Dubče, Měcholup and Štěrbohol and the extensive brownfield railway station in Bubny are being addressed.
This game is obvious, for example, in trying to break the coalition in Prague 8, which together with the first, second, fifth and ninth constituencies belongs to Svoboda’s camp. According to the E15 daily, entrepreneur Tomáš Hrdlička is pushing his man, who should be responsible for territorial development, to the management of Prague 8. It is supposed to be the Greens’ representative Petr Vilgus, who has already tried to overthrow the coalition in Prague 8.
Since last year’s unsuccessful attempt, two representatives from the ODS and TOP 09 have moved to the opposition benches. If Svoboda loses Prague 8, he may lose the mayor’s chain.
In addition to recruiting defectors, contacts with the leadership of the metropolis are also important for the Civic Democrats, who want to renew their previous years of cooperation with the CSSD. “He is trying to influence the councilor Tomáš Hudeček from TOP 09 responsible for the zoning plan and his court architect Vít Másl,” said one of the representatives of the capital.
Butter outside designed the just planned construction in Bubny. The study was rejected by the council a total of four times, and only passed the fifth attempt at the end of January. “I don’t remember anything like that. Two former police officers act as a link between the godparents and the municipality’s management. Undoubtedly, they had to work hard, otherwise the proposal would fall under the table again, “added the unnamed representative.
The project to use the largest undeveloped locality in Prague, a five-hundred-hectare plot of land in Dubče, Měcholup and Štěrbohol, also raises doubts. The proposal was approved by the Committee on Territorial Development at the beginning of February, despite the dissenting opinion of both the expert commission and the city council.
Hudeček: We will discuss the proposal with the citizens
There are 15 large development zones in Prague, which cannot be built according to the zoning plan. In recent months, it has mostly affected the roughly 100-hectare Bubny – Zátory locality. “Now maybe they will be able to do something with this scar on the face of Holešovice. However, it is necessary to change the zoning plan, which we could adopt within perhaps two years, “commented Deputy Mayor Tomáš Hudeček (TOP 09). According to him, a compromise was found between the interests of individual developers, who plan construction for tens of billions of crowns.
