The city’s pipeline network is the best preserved in the world. Although it was damaged by floods nine years ago, it is still functional, although it is no longer used. The Czech Post, authorities and banks sent consignments via pipelines.
The first postal line, which was established on March 4, 1899, led from the main post office in Jindřišská Street at the Old Town Post Office on Malé náměstí. Where the U Rotta hardware store used to be located. It was later extended to Prague Castle.

The pipeline delivery of consignments at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s saw a great boom. On the contrary, the end came with great water at the beginning of this millennium. Even today, people can see the individual elements of the pipeline at several Prague post offices.
The Celtic settlement is the largest in the Czech Republic
The Celtic oppidum Závist nad Zbraslaví will be without the massive interest of tourists. This is despite the fact that it is the largest in the Czech Republic and one of the largest complexes in Europe. Archaeological historical artifacts have been buried, so today only ramparts and defensive walls around the large promontory are visible. However, you can see the appearance of the fort on information boards.
Few people know that when traveling in the streets of Prague, they walk over the most modern collectors in the world. They have been built since 1969 and today reach a length of about 90 kilometers. But we did not rank in the top ten, because they can be overcome.
