Prague is looking for forgotten places – Pražský deník
but while walking through Prague, we often come across a building, monument or other structure that will captivate us, or at least attract us. At the same time, she stands there neglected by people and for many it is already completely forgotten.
It is these places that the Prague Information Service (PIS) wants to rediscover and get their place in the sun, which is launching a new competition. In cooperation with the city districts and the municipality, it is announcing a competition for Praguers called Forgotten Places of Prague. ,, We want to visit a foreign visitor with forgotten places, both domestic and attractive, throughout the capital. To strengthen tourism and thus support entrepreneurs and cultural life in urban areas, “said PIS director Lucie Ramnebornová.
She reminded that Prague has an incredible number of remarkable nooks and crannies unusual in its past, such as the Celtic menhir, a statue with an oar right on Hradčanské náměstí or the backfilled pool under the Barrandov terraces, around which we walk daily, but are unknown to us.
You will take part in the competition by sending an interesting place with photos and its description, as well as by supplementing the already existing places on the website with additional information or photos.
On the portal www.zapomenutamistaprahy.cz Already now, those interested can find inspiration and all the information about the competition. The draw for valuable prizes, such as a laptop, tickets to the Dvořák Festival in Prague or season tickets to Žluté lázně, will take place on 16 September.
